Dr. Harris A. Eyre

Biography

Harris is a medical doctor and neuroscientist working with business leaders, policymakers, scientists, and the public to advance the Brain Economy. He leads GBEI, which works with major institutions, including the World Economic Forum Brain Economy Action Forum, to advance brain-positive strategies worldwide. Harris’s work is grounded in a big idea: brains are infrastructure. .

Just as economies depend on physical, digital, and natural infrastructure, they depend on people’s capacity to think, learn, create, adapt, collaborate, and remain resilient. The systems and environments that protect and strengthen these capabilities form a critical layer of brain infrastructure. He is also the Harry Z. Yan & Weiman Gao Senior Fellow at Rice University, and a Presidential Senior Fellow at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).
