Biography
Nirmal Surya is a Mumbai neurologist in practice since 1990. He is Secretary General of the World Federation for Neurorehabilitation, President of the Asian Oceanian Society of Neurorehabilitation, and Founder President of the Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation.
He founded and chairs Epilepsy Foundation India, and was President of the Indian Academy of Neurology in 2021-22 and Indian Stroke Association 2023-24. His work builds neurorehabilitation capacity in low and middle income settings. He is also chair of Epilepsy and Neuroinfection of Lancet Commission of Neurorehabilitation and Prof in Neuro-rehabilitation, Pacific University, Udaipur
